Board Members

The Club 509 Board of Directors consists of four officers: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Along with additional elected officers: Membership Chairperson, Communication Chairperson, and Member(s) at Large.

Your Board of Directors have come together to continue the work of developing Pickleball in our three communities. Advocating for the sport, working to improve our local facilities, and getting us more courts to play on as our numbers grow.

We will need members to help run committees and work with the board to accomplish our goals! If you have time and can help out please reach out to any of the board members and let them know you are interested in helping out..

Hi! I was introduced to the game (like many of us) during Covid. My wife and both my young kids were playing A LOT, they got bit by the pickleball bug (again.. like many of us). I started to quickly realize that if I didn't start playing, it would not be long before my wife and my kids would be beating me day in and day out. I'm too competitive for that (like many of us...) so that's how it began! It has been a super fun family thing we get to do together and the local community of players are phenomenal, glad to be a part of it!

I grew up in the Tri-Cities and attended Kamiakin High School, college took me to University of Hawaii at Manoa. After college I got married to my wife (Ann) and settled into a career. We have 2 young children (9 & 12) which love pickleball and sports in general. I was first introduced to pickleball in late 2019 and like many others started playing during the Covid shutdown. We jumped in taking lessons, playing rec, tournaments, and are now some of the ones training up the next generation. We play all over: CBRC, LSP, & Claybell, wherever the group wants to go. I have accepted the invitation to serve on the 509 board because I have made so many friends while playing and simply want to grow the game and share this passion of mine.

Hello! I moved to the area in November 2020. I grew up in Northern California, lived in Tennessee for 4 years, and made my way back to the west settling here in the Tri-Cities for work. I picked up a Pickleball paddle for the first time in early 2020. When my husband and I moved here, we stumbled upon a "Beginners night" at Lawrence Scott Park and were warmly greeted by other club members who showed us the ropes. I really appreciated the welcoming community the club members offered us when we were new. I look forward to serving on the board, introducing others to the game, and seeing all of you out at the courts!

I’m an entrepreneur, family man, former marathoner, and now pickleball enthusiast. I grew up in Mesa, AZ but moved to the Tricities with my wife (who is from Kennewick) in 2008. We have 4 children (with our 2 oldest in college). After getting an MBA and working in banking for 8 years, I decided corporate life was not for me. I’ve now been a full-time entrepreneur since 2011, starting, growing, and selling online businesses. I’ve run 16 marathons, but after running the Boston Marathon in 2023, I decided it was time to hang up the running shoes. I picked up a pickleball paddle and I’ve been hooked ever since.

I graduated from the University of South Carolina and relocated here about 18 years ago. Having spent my entire life in the South, I quickly fell in love with the region’s dry heat. In a previous chapter of my life, I was a nationally ranked swimmer. Today, I am a proud mother of two daughters, Emily and Aubrey, as well as two Chihuahuas, Daisy Mae and BluBelle. I am also fortunate to share my life with my husband, Paul. I discovered pickleball about two and a half years ago and have been passionate about the sport ever since. From the very beginning, I was warmly embraced by the pickleball community, and it has been a truly enriching experience. I am eager to help introduce more people to the sport, giving them the opportunity to join this incredible community as well.

Communications Director
I was born and brought up in the southern part of India and came to the US in 2010 to work for WSU. My educational background is Agri business and plant science and I've worked as a Laboratory Technician for many research and service organizations. Living in Prosser with my wife and two kids for the last fourteen years, I accidentally got into this game while searching for a place to play badminton which I was associated with for the past 35 years. Surprisingly I started forgetting about badminton because of the friendly and welcoming atmosphere wherever I played pickleball. As a member of this group I am looking forward distributing as much useful information on this game and locations to play which may be useful for those who are new to pickleball.

I grew up in Yakima and spent time in Eugene Oregon and Seattle. Moved to the TriCities in 2010 for work with my wife Bev. We have four children and a bunch of grand kids! I first played Pickleball with a group of friends from work and quickly fell in love with this game! My wife began to play a couple years later to see what was keeping me out on the courts for hours at a time. She is now as addicted as I am. Our love of the game lead us to start Club 509 Pickleball; Knowing that as the sport grew in popularity we would need a voice in the community to advocate for adequate court facilities. With the huge growth locally in our sport we find ourselves in need of more courts and it is my hope that Club 509 can help get that done.

I was born, raised, and have lived in the Tri-Cities all my life except for a brief stint in Pullman ( Go Cougs!) and Seattle. In the Spring of 2022, I went to a Pickleball Beginner’s night at Lawrence Scott Park and was hooked. Not only on the sport itself but all the friendly coaches and other beginners and being outside in our beautiful Tri-Cities weather. Pickleball is truly a sport that no matter where you play – people are always welcoming and engaging. Now that my child is all grown up and retirement is approaching, I welcome the opportunity to expand my volunteer work both within our community and with Club 509.

Hello! I came to TriCities in 2016 and grew up in Yakima. In January of 2021 I broke my arm and after a few months I was looking for something to keep me active that wouldn't be too hard on my recovering arm. My friend Kom asked me one day as we were working "have you ever tried the game pickleball?" I laughed and told him that has to be the silliest name I've ever heard. After playing a few times it grabbed me, I couldn't stop playing. I'm huge into the community whether it's making friends, being challenged, or helping people progress their skill in the game. My mission is to continue to bring in as many people as I can to grow the community in our area.
