June 19-22, 2025

Set in the heart of the Tri Cities in Kennewick, WA at the beautiful Lawrence Scott Park Pickleball Complex for a 4 day tournament. This venue features 15 permanent and dedicated Pickleball courts on permanent tension nets, Cash prizes for the open division, prize table for the amateur skilled divisions Gold event winners ranging from 3.0-5.0 ages 12+, 50+, and 60+. Lots of fun things being planned to do at and around the tournament, Speed Serve Challenges, Drop Shot Challenges, & Vendors onsite.

This outdoor tournament celebrates the rapidly growing pickleball community. We want to welcome first time participants, tournament veterans, top local players, and regional pros from the Pacific NW.

You don’t have to play to be involved. The success of the tournament depends on the dedicated volunteers who want to be a part of this fun summer event. OPEN DIVISION events will be Round Robin Pool Play. Then top 2 from ea pool advance to a single elimination playoff. Min games: 3

$15,000 in total Prize Pool money that will be split between each of (5) open events proportionately to number of teams in event.
Prize pool is only for the open events.

**Payout example below is based on all  open events having 12 registered teams with the $7500 base pool.

**OPEN Doubles Events payouts (Based on 12 teams) = $3,675 total. 1st Place: $2,020 (55%). 2nd Place: $1,100 (30%). 3rd Place: $550 (15%).
**OPEN Singles Events payouts (Based on 12 teams) = $1,850 total. 1st Place: $1,018 (55%). 2nd Place: $555 (30%). 3rd Place: $278 (15%).

Open Division Men’s Dbls, Women’s Dbls, and Mixed Dbls, Men’s Singles, and Women’s Singles will compete for their direct share of the prize purse respectively.

*Total division prize money is determined by the number of division registrants. See Pickleball brackets for more details.

At the discretion of the Kitchenfire Sports, our tournament director, we may allow up to 20 teams max in Open events (based on time availability).

Actual Payouts will be based upon the number of players/teams in each OPEN event.
6 team minimum for any Open division.

THURSDAY MORNING: Starting with the 50+ and 60+ Gender Doubles.

THURSDAY LATE AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING: Singles Events, Under the lights. What speaks epic pickleball tournament like a cool desert night playing championship singles pickleball under the lights.

Friday 06/20/25 - New Team Event!

Each team is made up of four players consisting of two women and two men. A match consists of four games to 21 (win by 1) with rally scoring, starting with one women’s doubles game, followed by one men’s doubles game, and then two mixed doubles games. If two teams are tied after these four games, a tiebreaker is played. Singles tie-break format: All players will play in rotation until the game is won. Skill levels: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5. Age divisions 12+ and 60+ for the 3.0 and 3.5 divisions – no age divisions for 4.0 & 4.5 skill levels.

There are a limited number of teams per skill level. Team captains will register the team on PickleballBrackets.com and email a team member list to the tournament director. All players must have a PickelballBrackets account so the tournament director can verify skill level.

TRAVELING: SPECIAL HOTEL RATES NEGOTIATED FOR ATHLETES AND ATTENDEES:

Club 509 Pickleball is proud to partner with Choice Hotels Quality Inn for hotel accommodations for all our traveling athletes.

A limited qty of rooms at the hotel are set aside for 6/19-6/22 at a promotional rate $109 (our rate is going $159 that weekend). Offering two queen beds. Our rooms also have kitchenettes and sleeper sofas and include our hot breakfast buffet each morning.

Guests can begin booking rooms at anytime from now until 6/6/2025. After 6/6/2025 rooms and rates will be based on availability. Reservations can be made the following ways:

MORE FUN THINGS TO DO THAN JUST A TOURNAMENT.....

We have lots of fun things planned at the 2025 509 Summer Classic.

  • HUGE open division prize pools, $15,000 split between 5 open divisions proportionately.
  • PRIZES FOR ALL WINNERS- There will be a Gold (1st Place) Event Winner Prize Table, where all Amateur Gold Event Winners can pick a prize from the “509 Victory Vault” brought to you exclusively by Bella’s Furniture and Entertainment Venue.
  • We will have a pickleball obstacle course where you will record your fastest serve with a speed gun and do a drop shot challenge for points and winners will get a prize.
  • There will be jumbo yard games (provided by CBRC Health & Fitness) to play while you are spectating or hanging out at the event.

  • Player Social Friday evening between 7pm-8pm at Rattlesnake Mt Brewery.
  • Vendor City – Sculpt Wellness, The Flying Pickle, Apollo, J Paige Jewelry, La Luna Wellness, Kitchenfire, Xs/Nutrilite Nutrition and more.
  • Hawaiin BBQ, So Da Bomb, Popcorn NW, and British Fish and Chips will be onsite serving food for purchase.
  • Book Signing by author Joe Montgomery, local author of “Your Brain on Pickleball”. 
  • Heat Management Volunteers – Emphasis on player safety: Shade Stations, Water misting stations, hydration stations,
